What are the latest tech filled toys for kids this year?
Most kids these days know more than us when it comes to Gadgets and electronic gizmos. So parents will need all the help they can get when looking for Christmas gadgets for their teens and younger children. Here are some suggestions, for both those hard to please older teens as well as the younger ones who just want something that looks cool, does funky stuff, and makes them feel like one of the grown-ups.
The Ultimate Gaming Chair
For teens wanting both comfort and an amazing gaming experience, the Ultimate Game Chairis a great Christmas idea, with its all-leather upholstery and massage function. That’s right – the 12 vibration motors, which synchronise with the on-screen action to give game play that is literally immersive, can also be used for stress relief after a hard day at the office. Oops, we mean school. Then there’s the beverage holder, and stereo sound for headphones from its stereo jack. The chair itself plugs into your stereo system. As well as the built-in game paddles, it also supports other types of controllers, like a steering wheel. It’s compatible with a bunch of consoles, including PS2, Xbox, Xbox Live,Gamecube, PC, Mac and PS1. We think it’s pwnsome.
Vtech Kidizoom Digital Camera
Younger teens might be interested in the Kidizoom Digital Camera. It’s light and durable. Its 0.3MP resolution doesn’t sound like much compared to most cameras on the market, but that’s still what you’ll get in a 640×480 image, which should be enough for most happy snaps. Its USB port lets you plug it straight into a computer or printer. 64MB of built-in memory will hold up to 1000 images. It can also record video with sound, and comes with 3 bonus games and some cool effects, like borders around images. The hot pink look will make it especially popular with the girls.
Levitating Pen
Speaking of gadgets for teens, older teens who are starting to get a little cynical about gaming chairs (and are way beyond cute cameras)could be interested in the Levitating Pen. Someone else said it is “both scientific and useful!”, and we’re having a hard time thinking of a better description. The magic of magnetism keeps the pen floating above its pad. No more searching around for a pen. You just pluck this one out of the air.
It could also be used to turn people into zombies. Just ask them to keep their eyes on the pen, spin it, then watch their eyes glaze over as they are hypnotised by its swirling spiral pattern. Must… get my own… Levitating Pen! We like it, even without the hypnotism.
